Commisioning Agent
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- The Commissioning Agent will be responsible for assignments including Commissioning, Retro-Commissioning and other construction administration services.
- Preparation for and presentation of pre-commissioning “kickoff” meeting.
- Perform progress inspection of mechanical and control systems installation. Individual to be familiar with project specifications and HVAC industry standards.
- Preparation of Commissioning specifications based on project needs/requirements.
- Preparation and implementation of functional performance testing, including pre-functional checklists where applicable and validate corrective actions by the construction team (“manage the issues log”)
- Prepare interim and final commissioning record manuals.
- Must have strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, including requirements to implement and validate sequences of operation. Knowledge of Energy Code mandated sequences of operation for air and hydronic systems. Must be capable of developing and refining tools and methodologies of the commissioning process to keep up with evolving codes and technologies.
Qualifications
5+ years in engineering, control design, or commissioning, preferred but not required. Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills required. Must have a valid New York State Driver’s license. Highly motivated, proactive and able to juggle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.
